Edward’s Boys’ production of John Lyly’s Galatea concluded its run on Sunday evening at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe in London.
This was the first performance of Globe Education’s first season in the remarkable new candle-lit indoor theatre, and marked the culmination of a John Lyly study day at The Globe which attracted leading academics from around the world.
The sell-out audience gave the young performers from Shakespeare’s School a rapturous reception, and feedback to the performance on social media has been effusive in praise of the production.
Full reviews of the performance will be posted on this site as and when they are published. In the meantime, more feedback to the earlier performances in Oxford, Walsall and Stratford can be found here.
