An Interview with Perry Mills
Catch Edward’s Boys director Perry Mills appearing on ‘A Bit Lit’ with Dr Andy Kesson (University of Roehampton) discussing how he stages early modern drama. Perry talks about the plays he has staged, starting with some of the company’s earliest work, and highlights some of the challenges and opportunities which working with an all-boy company on this repertoire brings. It’s a fascinating insight into how this unique project has engaged with modern audiences and, of course, modern academic scholarship.
There is more about Edward’s Boys on Bit Lit later in the week. On Wednesday 29th April we hear from George Ellingham, ex-member of the company, and on Friday 1st May from Dr Harry McCarthy (University of Exeter) who is writing a book for Cambridge University Press about Edward’s Boys.
